Sympathy is Screwed, sorry!

I suppose this is my take on the situation given the fact I’ve now heard Sympathy is a Knife (beloved!) as well as the response towards it, and I understand the division. I myself simply think it’s insane that the response to hearing that a woman in your industry is so apprehensive about your talent and experiences that they’re ultimately ideating in every negative manner possible towards trusted friends and their husband….is calling them an addict in the most derogatory manner? Take it to a private conversation if that’s your feelings on the matter if we’re all upset about shit -talking as adults. I said it maybe two months ago for my own personal life, but if you have dramatics and you see the relevant human in person and you’re silent? Your drama is legally dropped! I don’t make the rules, I just muse about music.

Saying you enjoy your friends cancelled when you’re being side-eyed about your relations in opposition to everything you do on your platform (which is often so heartwarming it brings me to tears, realistically!) is certainly a point to take, and it’s a point that I wish wasn’t taken given history and platforming utilization. I understand not wanting to share the space or fake a smile to a t, but especially now in their cases.
