Aux of Agony

If I had a dollar for every single conceivable time I was wildly emotionally devastated via routes of members of the band 5 Seconds of Summer? My rent would be paid in advance until the end of this lease and I’d already have a down payment on the house I’m eyeballing out towards central Florida.

And even now, years later, released from the throes of 2013 tumblr - even if only barely - I am sitting in the car more often than not drowning my sorrows with 5SOS solo music. Fangirls truly do run the world and pay the bills, baby. Definitely not mine - not yet - but like, I’ve certainly been paying somebody’s!

With this being said, holy fuck, guys, I’m fifteen again right now and looseunit123 has been learning how to read tarot and I’m astonished by the solo music pouring out of that man and the folks on his staffing/in his circle. Reasonably, I do understand that these men have been surrounded by some of the most decorated songwriters around, but I’m quite grateful about it considering that my brain is still on the Try Hard music video. Notable as Ben Kohn worked on Don’t Stop, Try Hard’s sister song. Humbly speaking, this is the most stacked songwriting credits I’ve seen in quite some time, and I was thrilled to see it put to a phenomenal use. If you’re yearning and need to feel like you’re on death’s doorstep, this is for you. If you’ve ever been a fan of 5 Seconds of Summer in your lifetime, this is for you. If you’ve just driven a long ride on a rainy night, this song is for you. Lowkey? If you’ve experienced any ideations and have had a friend on speed dial?

You get where I’m going with this. This is quite frankly an all timer, and I’ve been shocked that it doesn’t have the traction some of the other moonbeam ice-creams on the songwriting credits. This came out as recently as last April (2025), and I’m just… a bit bewildered.

Someone please tell Calum Hood to continue side questing.
