And now for something… ”completely different”

Hey, do you guys remember when I said that I’m a rather versatile human being? I like all genres of music despite personal favorites, and we have an entire subsection of this magazine in dedication/in memoriam to Mac, aptly named The Sound Room…so while this may feel like it’s out of left field, it truly isn’t, it’s just a standard Friday for me. The title of the piece is a nod to a JVB sample, I mean, come on, folks.

I’ve been rotating back in Carti before he comes to Tampa this Sunday and assuredly I feel horrific FOMO from not being able to shoot. (If your team is reading this, I promise I am super cool and talented! Just occasionally a bit pessimistic about my chances doing things!) This being said, it’s been a lot of oldies in tandem with MUSIC - SORRY 4 DA WAIT. I’ve loved this album in its entirety, but especially OLYMPIAN. It’s been a very standout track for me within the hour and a half record. The album itself is a gift to fans, longtime and brand new with its release and truly feels like an homage to the entirety of the discography. It’s such a fun track, and I’d love to see it played live soon - I can only imagine how crazed the crowd would be.
